Inspired by local radio legends, he pursued a degree in broadcasting at Indiana University, where he honed his skills and developed a deep love for the medium.

After college, Stuart’s career took an unexpected turn as he served in Vietnam, where he set up a makeshift radio station to entertain and inform his fellow soldiers. This experience solidified his commitment to broadcasting, even as he temporarily shifted to a career in the fashion industry.

Upon retiring to Frisco, Texas, Stuart reignited his broadcasting dreams. With his distinctive baritone voice, he quickly became a staple at KVGI radio, hosting popular shows like Someone You Should Know and Something To Talk About. Today, Stuart continues to engage audiences with his wit, charm, and unparalleled storytelling ability.

Stuart’s fascination with broadcasting begins in Chicago, inspired by local radio DJs and television news and anchors like the late veteran reporter Harry Porterfield and the vibrant local broadcast media scene.

Among his many duties during his military service, Stuart sets up a ‘pirate’ radio station in his battalion, boosting his broadcast interests and bringing music, information, and news from home to his fellow troops.

The Magic Kingdom

Stuart expands his broadcasting skills while working in the Entertainment Division during the launch of Walt Disney World in FL. He recorded instructional messages and became the Magic Kingdom’s first park announcer.

Back to Broadcasting

After retiring from a retail career and relocating to Texas to be closer to family, Stuart seizes the opportunity to host his own radio show thanks to station owner and seasoned broadcaster Mark Wariner, marking the beginning of a new and exciting phase in his life.

A New Chapter Begins

In 2022, Stuart was invited to join the staff of AT EASE! Veterans Magazine as a feature writer for “On Air with Stuart Sax.” Not only is he sharing the stories of Veterans he has interviewed on his talk show but also contributes humor articles about topics like “The Culinary Delights of SPAM,” “Sex in the Military,” and “Life in the Watch Tower.”

After years in the fashion retail industry, Stuart’s passion was reignited when he moved to Frisco, Texas, and was given the opportunity to host his own radio show. Today, he continues to share compelling stories and engage audiences with his charismatic presence and insightful interviews.
